CIPSAN

ALKALINE POWDER SANITISER FOR DAIRY EQUIPMENT

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

1. Pre-rinse all equipment with clean warm water (110ºF), run to waste.  
2. Prepare a solution of CIPSAN containing 4g per liter (~5oz in 10 gallons) of water, and circulate through the equipment at a temperature of 72 - 82°C for 10 min at a speed of 5 feet/sec. 
3. Drain and flush the system with clean water and allow to drain completely.  

Final rinse: It is an offence to allow chemical agents to get into milk. After cleaning with CIPSAN and before the equipment is used again, it must be thoroughly rinsed with clean water. Food Industry rinsablity testing shows that a 10 min exposure of tiles to 3 times the recommended use dilution of CIPSAN left no residues in excess of 0.0001μg/cm2 chlorine.
 
Descaling: Equipment (milk tubes, teat cup liners) should be checked periodically and descaling should be carried out periodically following cleaning activities
A monthly check should be carried out on rubber components and seals.

ANTI-MICROBIAL EFFICACY:

CIPSAN passes stringent British Standards Test BS EN 1276 (Quantitative suspension test for the evaluation of bactericidal activity of Chemical Disinfectants and Antiseptics used in Food, Industrial, Domestic and Institutional areas) at use a 1 in 250 dilution. This means that at use dilution CIPSAN can achieve a 100,000-fold reduction in bacterial populations with only 5 min contact time under dirty and hard water conditions. For pre-cleaned items the same bacterial kill can be achieved at much lower concentrations.
