TERMINAL FOGGER

AERIAL DISINFECTION

Airborne pathogens are a major challenge in intensive livestock housing units. They tend to be highly contagious and are responsible for the majority of livestock respiratory infections. Terminal Fogger achieves broad-spectrum kill of static and airborne pathogens including, bacteria moulds, viruses, yeasts, fungi and spores.

Aerial spraying allows unparalleled access of biocides to areas that are generally inaccessible or not suited to regular sanitation practices. It allows penetration into porous building materials, which can harbour pathogens in sufficient numbers to initiate a disease out break.

Terminal Fogger is specifically formulated for aerial disinfection of livestock buildings, hatcheries and slaughterhouses. It offers a safer alternative to hazardous formaldehyde fumigation practices in the terminal hygiene programme. Formaldehyde use has been linked to a number of debilitating respiratory disorders. Synergy between active components in Terminal Fogger allows more economical use of product, which means that it offers protection at lower use-concentrations. This added safety factor allows Terminal Fogger to be used in the presence of livestock, so infection can be prevented at an earlier stage. There are also additional advantages on 'mixed age' sites where formaldehyde fumigation is not carried out for fear of drift and effects on more susceptible stock.

Hatcheries: Terminal Fogger is recommended for use in incubators, especially 'fixed rack' machines, which provide limited scope for cleaning with multiple ages of eggs.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Terminal fogger can be applied to surfaces at a dilution of 1:100 in water, using coarse droplet spray or aerially using fogging equipment. Small electrically operated foggers are suitable in hatchery rooms, but more specialised equipment such as thermal foggers might be necessary in larger livestock housing.
