DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Teat Dipping: Fill the teat cup approx. 2/3 full with HEXSAN and dip teats of every cow immediately after each has been milked, making sure that the full length of the teat is immersed. Top up with fresh solution as required. Empty and wash out cups
after milking.
Teat Spraying: Immediately after milking, spray the entire surface of each teat of every cow with the solution. Spraying is more hygienic than dipping as it avoids the risk of cross contamination between dairy cows.
Udder Washing: Dilute HEXSAN 1 part in 67 parts water, ie. 150 ml to 10 litres. Udder cloths should be allowed to soak in solution. The use of separate udder cloths or disposable paper towels is strongly recommended. Allow teats to dry before milking.
Cluster Washing: Dilute HEXSAN 1 part in 67 parts water, ie. 150 ml to 10 litres. Immerse clusters and agitate for at least half a minute. Rinse in clean water before use.

HEXSAN Passes EN 1656 Quantitative Suspension Test for the Evaluation of Bactericidal Activity of Chemical Disinfectants and Antiseptics used in the Veterinary and Agricultural Field.
This test protocol was issued by the European Union in January 2000 as the standard test procedure for evaluation of chemical disinfectants for use in the Agricultural Sector. It lays down specific test conditions to simulate in - use testing in the dairy Industry and specifically for use as Teat disinfectants.
