EGG SAN

EGG DISINFECTION SOLUTION

FOR MANUAL AND MACHINE SANITISATION OF EGGS

In the hatchery egg hygiene is one of the main considerations in improving hatchability. Egg washing is replacing the use of hazardous fogging practices using aldehydes, and can improve hatchability by ~3%. Egg Hygiene begins on the farm and needs to be strictly observed to prevent microbial contamination in nest boxes, storage areas and egg transportation vehicles.

EGGSAN is suitable for use on eating and hatching eggs. It is based on Quaternary Ammonium compounds and specialised detergents designed to gently and safely remove organic soilage and sanitise eggs.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Prepare a 1:300 dipping solution of EGGSAN and bring the temperature to 100°F for dipping.

For manual egg sanitisation, place eggs in plastic or wire basket, and completely immerse eggs for 10-15 minutes. When using an oscillating machine, do not immerse eggs for more than 10 minutes. Avoid excessive washing of eggs, and prepare fresh solution when water becomes visibly soiled.

Do not rinse eggs, but allow eggs to dry in the air for a protective coating before setting or packing.

EGGSAN passes European-British standard BSEN 1276 at a dilution of 1:320 in the presence of organic contamination.
